How many treatments are involved?
  • For general health maintenance : one treatment every three months
  • For breeders, major events, e.g. showing, performance: two to three treatments’s before, once a week
  • For animals which are ill, injured or have behaviour ‘ issues’: at least two consecutive sessions are recommended
Reasons:
  • The first session is a very unusual experience, where the animal needs time to become accustomed to the situation, the practitioner and the physical and psychological reception of the therapy as a whole.
  • The second session should ideally be applied one week later, to recement in the realignment of the previous treatment, as the body has the tendency to regress to the “original state”.
  • Once the animal improves and does not regress, more time between number of treatments can be integrated.
Depending on age, health degree, weight, medication, time period of injury, illness or behaviour, Bowen can be applied as a full holistic or remedial treatment.
Sessions needed for improvement can vary from two to many.
Every animal is unique, so responses to treatments vary.
